This majestic chalet, bright and ultra-comfortable, is perched on a promontory just steps away from the famous mill and overlooks a picturesque valley. Its architecture is both modern and inspired by the style of New France, with its steep roof, dormer windows, chimneys, and beautiful stone walls. The interior, featuring a ‘slow design' decor, consists of works by local artisans and incorporates wood from the surrounding lands. You'll admire the paintings, murals, and metal finishes that enhance the furniture and pay homage to Quebec's rich history. The curtains, throws, and bedspreads are made by a local business.

The panoramic view can be admired through the large bay windows or from the spacious private terrace, where you can peacefully observe the starry sky. The surrounding nature is ideal for spotting deer and other small wildlife.

The Baluchon's reception, restaurants, and bakery are just a few minutes' walk away. The pools, hot tub, and gym are about a ten-minute walk (take advantage of the wooden walkway along the Du Loup River) or a few minutes' drive, in the SPA building.

The Manor House is the ideal place for a group stay, whether with family, friends, or colleagues. It can accommodate up to 26 people with its 6 bedrooms and 13 comfortable beds. Five private bedrooms include two king or queen beds, a bathroom with a shower (the upstairs bedroom also has a bathtub), a workspace, Keurig-style coffee maker, mini fridge, television, and phone. A sixth bedroom is a multifunctional room. Equipped like the other rooms with a coffee maker, mini fridge, television, and phone, it has a bathroom with a shower and three murphy queen-size beds. It can thus be converted into a meeting or game room.

The spacious and practical common areas are designed for enjoyable meals and evenings with a group. The open-concept, fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, microwave, cookware, dishes, three fondue pots, and a filter coffee maker) is extended by a dining area with a counter and a very long table. Next to it, the living space features sofas, armchairs, a gas fireplace and a television.

The common areas also include a half bathroom and a washer and dryer.

The immense natural stone terrace makes a lasting impression! It's a perfect spot for sharing and relaxing outdoors, where evenings can be enjoyed by the flames of the wood-burning fireplace. You can also cook on the BBQ there.

The site and activities:

• Parking is free throughout the site.
• Eight parking spaces are reserved near The Manor House for exclusive use by guests.
• Electric charging stations are available at the reception parking lot (P3) and the parking lot across from the laundry room (P5), a few minutes' walk from The Manor House.

Renting accommodation at Le Baluchon Eco-Resort includes access to its 1,000 acres of preserved land and an exceptional playground for outdoor activities. The Baluchon territory is crossed by the magnificent Du Loup River, dotted with rapids, and the Chute des Trembles (waterfall). When the water level permits, it's wonderful to dip your feet in the river along the hiking trails (check with reception).

There are numerous wonderful and varied activities included with your stay: hiking, canoeing and kayaking, mountain biking, archery, pétanque, horseshoes, tennis and volleyball, snowshoeing, ice skating, cross-country skiing, and tubing. Necessary equipment is provided.

Also available onsite for an additional fee:

• Access to the thermal experience (hot baths, cold bath, sauna, relaxation areas) is included with any reservation at the health SPA (massages, manicures, pedicures, facials, body treatments, yoga class).
• Horseback riding, carriage and sleigh rides, available year-round
• Dog sledding (from December to March)
• Fat biking
• The Eco-Café is open until 9 p.m. and serves a gourmet breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• The award-winning dining room serves a gourmet dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. It offers a farm-to-table cuisine made with local and organic ingredients. Reservations required!
