This authentic cabin, featuring a wood-burning fireplace and a natural stone chimney, is located on Sabot Island, in the heart of Le Baluchon Eco-resort. It is an ideal place to gather and experience unforgettable moments in nature. Put on your hiking boots or snowshoes and set off on the nearby blue trail. This path will lead you to some of the most beautiful viewpoints in the domain!
With its rustic and warm decor, it uniquely combines different wood textures and finishes. It is an old building, which was already present on the site, and its unique character has been preserved. All modern comforts have, of course, been added, including a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and heating.
It is fun to prepare meals in the fully equipped open-plan kitchen while chatting with those relaxing in the living room in front of the fireplace. The beautiful decor is cozy, and the furniture is super comfortable.
Outside, the River cabin features a large yard with a BBQ, table, chairs, and a parasol. A little further away, a wood-burning fireplace surrounded by chairs invites you to relax while peacefully admiring the starry sky in the evening. A volleyball court is nearby.
Ideal for a family or a small group, the River cabin is both intimate and spacious. The vaulted ceiling with a large dormer window and the long log railing on the upper floor give it a charming rustic appeal. The numerous windows allow natural light to fill every room.
This cabin can accommodate up to 6 people with its 3 closed bedrooms. The indoor common areas of the cabin are open plan and include a kitchen, living room and dining room. Two upstairs bedrooms share a washroom situated between the two. A third bedroom is on the ground floor behind the dining room and next to a full bathroom.
Like all accommodations at Le Baluchon, the decor is executed in a ‘slow design' style. You will appreciate the original pieces of furniture made of wood sourced from Le Baluchon lands, as well as the decorative objects and elements that pay tribute to Quebec's rich history. The curtains, throws, and bedspreads are made by a local company.
Five or ten minutes' walk away are the various facilities of Le Baluchon. In one area, the reception, restaurants, terrace, and bakery are all under one roof, with outdoor equipment conveniently nearby. Another area houses the pools, hot tub, and fitness room within the SPA's building. The tennis court is close by. These two areas are a short drive or about a ten-minute walk from each other. Take advantage of the wooden walkway along the Du Loup River and its cascades.
Inside the cabin, the inviting and functional common areas are designed for enjoyable meals and evenings. The well-equipped kitchen (including a stove, refrigerator, microwave, cookware, dishes, fondue pot, and filter coffee maker) is complemented by a dining nook with a counter and stools. The long dining table is a bit further away. The adjacent living space, equipped with sofas, armchairs, a wood-burning fireplace, and a television, is ideal for relaxing in pleasant company.
