Located 1h30 from Quebec and 2h from Montreal, the chalet will charm you with its comfort and its breathtaking view of the Saint-Maurice River and the Mauricie National Park.
The fully equipped chalet, with a 4-season jacuzzi/spa and heated outdoor pool private, can accommodate up to 6 people, ideally a couple with children or 2 couples.
The chalet consists of two bedrooms, one of which is on the mezzanine, a room with a fully equipped kitchen and living room including a wood stove and a bathroom with shower.
Outside, the jacuzzi/spa and the fireplace are accessible all year round. Built on a large wooded lot, the chalet will allow you to spend a stay in complete privacy with, in summer, the terrace equipped with a barbecue and the heated swimming pool.
Board games are at your disposal to enhance your evenings.
Come and admire the perpetual array of sunrises and sunsets offered by this chalet in the heart of the Mauricie.
During your stay you can...
Browse the Père Jacques-Buteux section of the Mauricie National Trail, directly accessible on foot less than a kilometer from the chalet, which offers a magnificent 12.9 km hike linking the majestic Saint-Maurice River to Lake Roberge through of a mixed forest punctuated by several lakes, streams and small waterfalls with beautiful viewpoints and water points to water the local fauna.
Visit, in Grandes-Piles, the Village du bûcheron, a perfect replica of a Quebec lumber camp of yesteryear, to discover how the Mauricie and all of Quebec developed through the forest industry.
Explore La Mauricie National Park which is home to more than 150 lakes including the magnificent Lac Wapizagonke. La Route Promenade, one of the most beautiful roads in Quebec, 63 kilometers long, crosses the park offering several lookouts with spectacular views. In summer, the park offers biking trails, hiking trails and getaways by canoe, kayak or paddleboard, while in winter, you will find marked cross-country ski trails and trails suitable for snowshoeing. Discovery activities also make it possible to understand and appreciate the natural and cultural resources of the park and the region.
Also discover the Cité de l'énergie with its tour of the city and its cruise leading to discover the industrial past of Shawinigan, its observation tower and visits to hydroelectric power stations, one of which is still in operation.
A wide range of other activities are available (fishing, snowmobiling, water and sliding sports, etc.) throughout the seasons to discover the region and relax!
Note: To access the chalet, in winter, especially during a snowfall, it may be necessary to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
