The Martin-pêcheur (french for Kingfisher) is a new construction. It is an ideal chalet to accommodate one or two families for a sweet and memorable vacation or a couple looking to escape to the forest for a moment of relaxation.
It has a mezzanine in the main area that children and adults will love.
Remember to bring your food, your drinking water, your fishing or hunting license and gear, your bedding, dish cloth, your flashlight and your personal effects. Plan for garbage bags as we ask all clients to bring back their trash.
Fishing access per person is mandatory at Baera forest for any fishing activities and include one catch limit of 5 trout, speckled or rainbow plus 2 lakers of 55cm or more (Total of 7 trout) provincial fishing license not included. One rowboat is included in the chalet reservation fee (for any request regarding an extra boat, please contact the reception desk). Motor rental is available (not included).
The fishing access can be shared with immediate family but only include one quota.
Hunters- Check In: 2 PM; Check Out: 11AM
1 deer for 1 hunter. Deer of 3 points on one side and up only can be harvested, unless otherwise agreed upon. Group hunting is authorized. Click here for the Group Hunting form.
1 moose bull for 2 hunters.
2 bears for 1 hunter (1 in spring and 1 in fall). Only boars and sows without cubs are authorized.
Provincial hunting permits for deer, moose, bear and small game are not included. Hunters must respect provincial regulations. See following link for details: tourism-and-recreation/sporting-and-outdoor-activities. Baera Forest being an exclusive territory, dates and regulations may vary slightly. Payment
To complete and confirm your reservation, you need to make a payment. To proceed, we offer three options;
By E-Transfer: A 50% nonrefundable retainer is required to complete your reservation at steve@baeraforest.com. The remaining balance is required 60 days prior to your stay.
Or
By credit card: All payments by credit card must be paid in full via our website. An additional fee can be added.
Or
By Check: A 50% nonrefundable retainer is required to complete your reservation. If you wish to pay by check you must inform us via E-mail. The remaining balance is required 60 days prior to your stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In case of any cancellation there will be no refunds. However, it is possible to transfer your reservation to another date in the same touristic season with an additional fee of 50$. You must advise us a minimum of 60 days prior to your stay.
GENERAL RULES
Below are some of the rules in effect:
Anyone staying or practicing an activity within Baera Forest must comply with the dates, times and places indicated on their reservation contract.
Upon departure, customers must leave all premises and equipment in the conditions they were found (clean and in order).
Smoking in a chalet is strictly prohibited. Out of respect for air quality, a fee of $150 will be charged.
Campfires and cooking fires are only allowed in designated areas. They must be under the surveillance of a responsible person at all times and be extinguished before that person goes to bed.
Curfew is at 11:00 PM. All noise must be reduced to a minimum until 6:00 AM. Generators must be turned off.
People lodging at Baera Forest during the hunting season (from mid-September to mid-November) may not have visitors.
Pets are not permitted in hunting territory (from mid-September to mid-November). Pets must be on a leash and kept quiet at all times. A fee of $150 will be charged to anyone does not comply. Be a responsible pet owner and pick up your pet's waste.
Off-road vehicles are only authorized in designated areas (trails).
Leave natural resources (plants, flowers...). Take only photographs.
Please do not pollute. Pack out what you packed in.
All offenders will be immediately seen off the premises without any reimbursement.
Your Safety, Your Responsibility
Outdoor activities are not without risks. Be sure to have the skills required when practicing your activities. Respect your own limits and use appropriate equipment.
Boating Safety
Federal regulation provides that no person shall operate a craft unless it carries in good working order, the following:
A manual propelling device.
Personal flotation device in sufficient number.
A buoyant heaving line of no less than 15 m in length.
A watertight flashlight or 3 approved flares if the craft is fitted with a motor.
A sound-signaling device or a sound-signaling appliance.
One bailer or one manual water pump.
This equipment is provided with all chalet reservations.
Federal regulation provides that no person shall operate a craft fitted with a motor unless carrying onboard a proof of having successfully completed a boating safety course in Canada prior to April 1st, 1999 or a pleasure craft operator card issued following the successful completion of a Transport Canada accredited test. If you don't have such proof of competency and you want to rent a craft fitted with a motor, you will need to complete a rental boat safety checklist and outfitters certification. A fee of $50 will be charged.

Cleanliness and Damage to Equipment
Customers will be billed for any damage to Baera Forest property, buildings or equipment. Sites that are left untidy will be cleaned at the customer's expense. Minimum fee of 100$.
