Come and spend memorable moments in a country cottage set in a peaceful and enchanting environment. This spacious 3-bedroom chalet is located directly on the shores of Lac François, in the heart of nature in the Upper Laurentians. A private sandy beach with dock lets you make the most of warm summer days. Accessible year-round, you can also enjoy the outdoors and the wilderness whatever the season.

Chalet

Spacious, light-filled chalet with interior wood finishes that create a typical country-cottage ambience. The three bedrooms are equipped with 2 double beds and a queen-size bed, and a 4th double bed is located in the basement. The chalet includes all the amenities and accessories you need for a pleasant, hassle-free stay. The 154-foot private beach is made up of soft sand and has a gentle slope so that younger children can play at the edge without fear.

Access

Full access to the cottage (except locked storage space) and the outdoor part of the property, including the beach and dock.

This does not include access to the rowboat, but you can bring your own boat and launch it from our private launch. Boats of all sizes and types (including kayaks) must be washed at the wash station located at the corner of Chemin Poulin and Presqu'île. Washing is free of charge, and you can obtain a wash voucher as proof.

Three kayaks, a pedal boat and a paddle board are available and included in the rental price.

Nearby tourist attractions

The lake is a popular spot for dhow, bass and pike fishing. Motorboats are permitted on the lake. Many other nearby bodies of water are easily accessible (Lac du Cerf, Rivière du Lièvre, Lac Nominingue, Lac Gauvin, Lac des Îles, Lac des Écorces and more).

A federated snowmobile and ATV trail is nearby (0.5km). The Petit Train du Nord bike path is about 5 km away.

The Vallée de la Lièvre golf club in Lac-des-Écorces is only 20 minutes away.

Kiamika is home to one of the world's largest deer ranches, making it a popular destination for hunters.

Recreative centre ruisseau Du Diable:

Located on the territory of Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle, the Ruisseau Du Diable ecological trail is an enchanting 3-kilometre walking trail where hikers can experience Mother Nature at her most beautiful. The trail features footbridges, interpretive panels and a reproduction of the covered bridges at Ferme-Rouge... the ideal place for family hikes! Picnic tables and rest areas are also available.

Near the hiking trail, there's also a trail for mountain bikers. This 9-kilometre trail lets you enjoy nature while practising your pedaling skills!

At all times, boaters must abide by the code of ethics of the Association des propriétaires du lac François (posted on the fridge at the cottage).

Our rates may vary according to the number of guests. Maximum capacity must be respected at all times, indoors and outdoors, for dinner or overnight stays. All persons arriving at the chalet must be indicated on the contract. Our rates may vary from season to season and are subject to change without notice.

A 50% deposit is required upon reservation. The second portion is payable 14 days before your stay. The deposit is refundable in full up to 30 days before arrival. For cancellations within 30 days of the reservation date, a 20% penalty will be applied.

Reservations made less than 14 days before the date of occupancy are considered last-minute. The stay is payable in a single payment at the time of booking.

Security deposit: $300 for groups of 4 or less. 500 for a group of 5 to 8 people, or if you have a dog. This deposit will be returned to you upon departure if the chalet has been left in good condition.
