Not luxurious, but spacious and comfortable cottage in an rare and exeptionnal setting.
LE GRAND CHALET Cottage is located at the border with Gaspesia region, in the MacNider area of Metis-sur-mer, formerly known as Metis Beach, close to the Pointe Mitis Lighthouse. While most of Quebec's population is french speaking, the Métis-sur-mer, MacNider area is mostly frequented by vacationers from Ontario, USA and Scotland.
Nearby, the Reford Metis Garden is a world renouned attraction.
The Grand Chalet is 1900 square feet (950 x 2 stories) on a 100,000 square feet land with mature conifer trees. The only neighboor is Le Petit Chalet Cottage. Trees and situation maintain the privacy of both cottages.
The land is at beach level. The beach is private for you and the cottages owners in the bay. Far enough from the road to not see it. The bay is protected from big tides and alows for canoeing. Even though it is the sea, the water temperature rises enough for swiming in summer although it is fresher than a lake.
The living room, the dining room, the kichen and the fireplace are all open rooms so it is well suited for 10 people, but the mood is cozy enough for a couple. All included : Bed sheets, towels, Kleenex, dish soap, hair dryer, ironig board and iron, etc.
Complete kitchen with everything needed to cook meals : Refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans, wine glasses, etc. Upstairs there are bookshelves full of all kinds of books. Côté jardin : Lots of blackcurrants, redcurrants, chives, cherries, rhubarb and raspberries.
