The Charlevoix region is classified as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. "Rich in its two centuries of hospitality tradition and favored by its proximity to Quebec City, the Charlevoix region combines the majesty of its mountainous landscapes with the splendor of the St. Lawrence River, which opens into an estuary and mixes fresh water with sea water. Synonymous with pure air and wide-open spaces, Charlevoix thus represents a prime destination for outdoor activities. The presence of three national parks and one of the most beautiful sites in the world for observing marine mammals on its territory testifies to the astonishing diversity of its natural sites.
Artisans, photographers, writers and painters narrate its nature, inspired for centuries by the beauty of its landscapes. Workshops, boutiques, studios and galleries will satisfy the most demanding art lovers, just as its network of renowned tables will delight the finest palates."
