Situated 145 km east of Quebec, Rivière-Ouelle is a small municipality along route 132. East of the village, is a small road which leads to an exceptional and little-known area -- the "Pointe-aux-Orignaux" where this cottage is located. The dock not far from the cottage is an ideal place for ornithologists to observe migrating shorebirds.

From the south shore of the St Lawrence River, the eye embraces a vast stretch of beautiful scenery and overlooks the Charlevoix hills beyond which the sun sets.
